  • In the Antakalnis from the Centre I was going on the trolley. There goes 2, 4, 14 routes. The area stretches on the hills along the river bank, the name itself means "on the Hill". It was interesting to walk, to see neparadnyj Vilnius. Typical architecture of cities of post-Soviet space coexists here with embassies, the former Palace and churches. Part of the Antakal′nisskogo cemetery holds a memorial to Soviet soldiers. Nearby, under the intricate tombstones buried Lithuanian politicians, actors, directors, writers and other celebrities. In the All Saints ' day (1 November) on the graves of hundreds of candles lit, and in the darkness of the cemetery looks pathetic and horrible at the same time.

  • I admit I've never been a great lover of cemeteries for a number of reasons, but I wanted to see. It is a cemetery that is located close to the richest district of Vilnius. Its particularity is that it is situated in a large wooded area. There are graves of the Russian civil war, Napoleonic soldiers and-of course-all the many (...) the dead of World War II, all located in a major airline where you place the Memorial that you see in the photo of the cemetery. When I went there (the second week of July) was virtually empty. To see, anyway.

  • The cemetery is very beautiful. There is a very large area with many think the same with a cross bandereta thrilling. The tombs of the top of the Hill are of difficult access, but some are beautiful to see.
