Amber Museum, Vilnius

(3/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Dedicated to one of the Baltic region's most famous and popular indigenous products, Amber Museum houses a number of small exhibits and displays showcasing the formation and uses of the valuable resin. Visit the museum in its 17th-century house, and you'll get the chance to view a wealth of amber pieces, large and small, that are millions and millions of years old. Follow the displays in the basement tracking the origins of amber and its different varieties and forms. This section also documents its usage throughout human history. Don't miss one of the centerpieces of the facility: a chunk of amber weighing around 3 kg (6.6 lbs.). Pick up a piece of jewelry, carving, or other amber-based souvenir from the gift shop. • A little away from the street, located in the alley. Amber Museum, sells a little souvenir. Try rubbing amber and little experience than we have had. If you're interested in amber might be interesting.
