Palanga Beach, Palanga

(4.4/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Stretching alongside the Baltic Sea, Palanga Beach boasts soft white sand and impressive dunes. Locals, Lithuanian vacationers, and international tourists flock here to sunbathe and splash in the chilly water. Though cold, the sea is remarkably clean and clear. A long pier juts into the ocean, and the beach gets most crowded around this area. Those who prefer a more tranquil sunbathing session should stake out a spot a good distance from the pier. You can buy chebureki (a popular pastry in much of Eastern Europe and Central Asia) and drinks from one of the vendors up and down the sandy stretch. • This beach is beautiful in any weather, summer, autumn and spring. Especially love it not on hot days-you can walk alone and enjoy the noise. The beach stretched for miles, there are summer cafes and bars, stools. Bring the summer trampolines and a mobile sauna. An adequate number of changing rooms. I really like the dunes in Palanga. Even in bad weather you can take a blanket and sit in the dunes-they will shelter from any wind. On the edge of the dunes you can find banches, sit, relax and enjoy the sea. Importantly, the beach is equipped with rescue rigs. If you go over the dunes, you can find the net free toilets.

  • Vacationing in August 2016. With the weather not guessed. There were rains and very strong wind. But the impression still remained positive! The beach is very clean and not crowded (probably because of the weather). On the beach there are cabanas. Wind often hide in the dunes. There you feel such appeasement! We were satisfied with.

  • Nice for walking but with very poor infrastructure. Not much to do during winter. Good for long walkings
