  • The Museum of amber of Palanga is a resort of the same name close to Klaipeda, which you can go by taxi. It is a beautiful Palace surrounded by an impressive Park with wonderful gardens. We saw many girlfriends, so I gather that that site is preferred by those who are married, to take pictures. The Museum gives to a separate chapter; It is inside of the Palace may be entered which paying entry. The route is quite interesting and illustrative; gives the idea how removed and works in amber, as well as their applications. The Museum has bathroom and souvenir shop. The entrance to the Park is free. It seemed to me that the visit, worth even to walk in these beautiful gardens. As adjacent attraction is the beach of Palanga where the sea is seen with yellowish hues by the amber, which is also found in sand. In this beach families are with young children, which had not seen in all of the Baltic. For our visit we played St. John's day so there were party everywhere, a festive atmosphere very friendly and very nice people. I love Lithuania!

  • On a visit to Palanga amber Museum needs to schedule no less than half a day. First you need to take a stroll through the wonderful park full of centuries-old pines and romantic spots. Exit at Lake and contemplate. Enjoy the whimsical swirls of trees and shrubs. Bypass Palace from all sides. Inside definitely take the audioguide. Leisurely explore the first floor Salon interiors and living rooms. The second floor for Kaliningrad citizens will not be opening, we have our own amber Museum-treasure. But those who see amber for the first time, it will be very interesting!

  • I'm not big museum person but the amber museum was still interesting. At the first floor there was mainly old furniture, paintings etc, so nothing really for me. But the second floor gave a good overview about amber. Best part were the little critters who had got stuck in the amber. You could look those amber pieces with magnifying glass and see all the details. Museum isn't very big but considering the low price of the ticket, i would recommend to have a look!
  • Great place to see amber jewelry. Located in wonderful pictorial pine park. Good place to walk and relax.
  • A wonderful historical palace of a noble Tiškevičius family. On the first floor you will find a display of the once contemporary furniture, paintings and tapestries, while on the second floor you will discover displays of the varieties of amber, it's genesis, use, and beautiful creations of well known Lithuanian jewelers. Well worth visiting.
  • Very interesting and beautiful place. Museum is located in the middle of the large park in a mansion or even palace like building. Exposition is very large and interesting. And in the end there is a little ship within crafts of real Amber.
  • Visited this summer biking Baltics. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely park and interesting museum
