  • The fortress of Pilies (or what's left of it), being one of the museums with an ancient story, deserve a visit. Date of sec. XIII, built for defence from attacks of other people. It was repeatedly destroyed and restored. Part of the subterranean tunnels are being used since 2002 as a Museum, but during the second War, were German cache. Has armoured doors we found very interesting, some artifacts, representations of time and photographs of the 20th century. Abroad continue the excavations and reconstruction work. Access to the interior is paid (less than 4 €) but worth it.

  • It is a fortress in the 13th century the Teutonic Knights near the Sea made. Some moats and bastions are left now. The basement of the fortress at the Museum exhibits include the weapons at that time.
