Curonian Spit / Kursiu Nerija National Park, Klaipeda

(550 reviews on the web)
Wildlife Area
Covered with sand dunes, thick forests, and expansive beaches, Curonian Spit / Kursiu Nerija National Park is a World Heritage Site that ranks among Lithuania's most diverse and visited natural areas. Carving an extensive lagoon out of the Baltic Sea, the park represents a great deal of the country's coastline and adjoins midway with its counterpart national park in Russia. Visit the area and explore its shoreline, boasting a network of trails for hiking and biking. If you're tempted by the sea, visit one of the yacht clubs to go for a sailing adventure on the Curonian Lagoon. Among the wild expanses of windswept coast you'll also discover old fishing villages that were once the center of the region's now-departed German population. Today they house museums, artwork, and churches. Put Curonian Spit / Kursiu Nerija National Park at the forefront of your travel plans using our Klaipeda travel itinerary planner.
