Wildlife Area Nature / Park
Covered with sand dunes, thick forests, and expansive beaches, Curonian Spit / Kursiu Nerija National Park is a World Heritage Site that ranks among Lithuania's most diverse and visited natural areas. Carving an extensive lagoon out of the Baltic Sea, the park represents a great deal of the country's coastline and adjoins midway with its counterpart national park in Russia. Visit the area and explore its shoreline, boasting a network of trails for hiking and biking. If you're tempted by the sea, visit one of the yacht clubs to go for a sailing adventure on the Curonian Lagoon. Among the wild expanses of windswept coast you'll also discover old fishing villages that were once the center of the region's now-departed German population. Today they house museums, artwork, and churches. Put Curonian Spit / Kursiu Nerija National Park at the forefront of your travel plans using our Klaipeda travel itinerary planner.

  • The locals will see a lot of effort in order to protect nature, while at the same time, made it a tourist destination. The dunes is really pretty small. They do not move only on the routes. But they are just the right in the direction of the sand, the sand dunes, which is one huuuuuuuge sand mountain, a little after the sahara. And when you get tired of the Sahara, you can go to any restaurant virvokkeille. Pro Tip: Pakallisesta grocery store gets a sparkling wine bottles, cold, sand as far as the eye makes thirsty at the.

Where to stay in Klaipeda

The seaside city of Klaipeda boasts many funky yet reasonably priced hotels. Most cluster in the city center, but others, farther out, may have the advantage of sea views. For a slightly less expensive option, choose one of the city's hostels; most place you right in the thick of things. While guesthouses here are somewhat less popular compared with other Lithuanian cities, they remain the least expensive lodging in town and can provide an authentic local experience. As with other Lithuanian towns, you can opt to stay in a tent or camper at a campsite just a bit outside of town. Campsites also offer hostel-style accommodations.
