  • It's very sad to see animals suffering. The place itself is old and desperately needs renovation. The animals there are incredible but their life is just terrible.
  • A "zoo" where some cages House more than 20 monkeys for a few square metres, a Fox who turn around in his enclosure a sentence of 15 to 20 m²... Many enclosures are damaged and merit a complete renovation

  • We love visiting zoos. Specially came from Vilnius to Kaunas by public bus to see Lithuanian Zoo. It's small and equipped with another old pattern, apparently for lack of adequate funding. Now nobody builds. Many animals kept in rather cramped cages. But I still put this zoo appreciation for two reasons: 1. all animals appear well-fed and happy; 2. collection, though a small but very interesting: Hyena, Maned Wolf, raccoons, coati, tamarins, several species of foxes, wolves, arktičeskye Kangaroo, tapirs, otters, funny cat Manul, pair of lovers of Lynx, pygmy hippo, giraffe ... In this zoo first saw snow leopards (simply beautiful), dlinnomordogo seal, which, by the way, himself began to show us their tricks, and Cliff dog. Dwarf deer, muntžaki, completely hand-fit fence enclosure to počuhali neck. Python in the terrarium is just huge. Never before this had not seen. In General, a lot of fun. Yes, and the park itself, in a sense, trees, flowerbeds beautiful and brand new. Fans of zoos recommend u visit. The children of this collection will be too interesting. For example, seal with his circus program and raccoons, they proved to us that not for nothing called poloskunami, showing the entire process of rinsing in water and eating cookies))).

  • Been there 25 years ago. Seems like nothing has changed since. I had lovely memories associated with it. Only now it got worse. Dirty, and stinky. Cages, buildings, fences look disgusting. Cages for some animals are so tiny that I can only imagine how depressing it must be to be an animal of such zoo. Many animals don't look like they have been looked after well. Bears have disappeared (moved somewhere else or died. No idea). What a disappointment! There are foxes where the bears used to be instead. The zoo clearly needs an investment.
  • If you ask me should you visit it, I would say no. Maybe its good enough fol locals, but its sad to see in what harsh environment poor animals live. They need to work on every aspect of this zoo to be attractive not only for tourists, but locals also.
  • Huge. But animals are far away. Feeding times are not well advertised. Great for a day away, but not so great for short visits.
  • Like the only zoo in the country. Olt school CCCP zoo, with concrete all.aroind, small inclosures and no comfort for animals. Constant stink of urine and fecies. It's trying to change that but it takes time and LOT of funding. Hope it will be better in the future
  • Partly renovated but nice place to spend day with family.
