Christ's Resurrection Church, Kaunas

Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web
Though the concept for Christ's Resurrection Church arose in 1918, low funds, Nazi occupation, and Soviet rule meant that this church was not completed until 2005. The modern interior features clean lines and its large roof terrace offers some of the best views of the city. You can take the elevator or save some money by taking the stairs. Already tall in itself, the church sits on top of Kaunas's Green Hill, granting visitors far-reaching panoramic vistas. • Church quite modern but very confusing because it is really white everywhere, it's like in the movie the Horseman without head! Has an elevator to access the panorama of the city. To go to church, you can take the funicular, but also to walk up, it doesn't take long.
