Akropolis, Kaunas

4.3
#2 of 8 in Shopping in Kaunas
Shop, dine, and play under one roof at Akropolis. Browse the stores, which bear the names of well-known designers, as well as local Lithuanian brands. You'll find everything from clothes and shoes to gifts and food. See a movie at the theater, glide around the ice rink, or go bowling, all within the mall. Restaurant options are numerous and include a mixture of international and traditional cuisine. To get a glimpse of what the locals eat, check out the large grocery store located on the bottom floor. • Really big Mall, over 250 stores, neat and well organized. Parking lot for over 2500 cars. Worth also simply a nice ride

  • I love This mall! The mix of premium and convenience stores that they have is amazing. I also loved the ice skating that they have on site.
  • Most popular attraction in the city. Alot of stuff to do. Cinema, Ice skating arena, bowling and alot of other activities. Shops and restaurants. Everything for everyones taste.
  • All you need is under one roof. From huge Maxima supermarket to quality Forum Cinemas. Spacious inside, interior is designed using the old factory buildings which used to be there.
  • Wonderful mall with many shops and a whole full court. Also contains a supermarket at the bottom and an ice skating park in the food court. it feels open and wide and there are a lot of fancy brand stores. great for spending a rainy day.
  • Snazzy shopping center. It's the only one even remotely within walking distance of the center, too. Not a bad choice for day-to-day shopping, but it can get a little maddening when it's crowded.

Where to stay in Kaunas

Kaunas matches its artistic and fun-loving energy with numerous stylish boutique hotels. The one surprise is that many are quite affordable without sacrificing location. If you want something more budget-friendly, this youthful city has hostels, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses, within the old city or close by. To experience both the city and the natural surroundings of Kaunas, opt to stay at one of the campsites, easily accessible from town via bus and offering tents or campers to rent at very reasonable rates. Be sure to book ahead when traveling to Kaunas: the city gets quite busy in the summer months, and the lack of big hotels means the small ones fill up fast.
