Snow Arena, Druskininkai

(3.4/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
As one of the largest indoor ski slopes in the world, Snow Arena provides the chance to learn how to ski or brush up on your skills, regardless of the season. The facility offers several slopes: a 460 m (1,509 ft) long intermediate slope and a 150 m (492 ft) beginner slope (plus a 640 m [2,100 ft] outdoor slope that is open only in winter). Check out the terrain park to try out some new tricks, or sign up for a ski or snowboard lesson. There is both a chair lift and a platter lift to take you back up to the top, as well as a Magic Carpet tow line for children and beginners. If you don't have your own gear, you can rent equipment and snow-appropriate clothing. Warm up with something to eat or drink from one of the four restaurants and two bars. • Get into Snow Arena can be in one of three ways: by cable car to car/bike and take a walk. We have chosen a combined way: there were on the funicular back pleasantly walked around the Woods, it is a good paved paths for both walkers and cyclists. Were Sunday coming to 10.30, were surprised to see a small queue of waiting the funicular. Through the 20 minutes we hit the road and enjoy opening the beautiful panoramic views of the city, forest and Neman. Coming to Snow Arena, a little confused when deciding where to go. As it turned out, then on the left side of the cable car station is a restaurant with panoramic views, karting, and to the right entrance to the Snow Arena. On the ground floor have bought lookout ticket for 3 euro and set off to explore the surrounding area. Lookout itself is small and is located in the middle of the ski slopes, allowing tired skiers go to the cafe to eat or relax and watch us. Then we went to a café on the ground floor, where you can eat at affordable prices. And by the way, 3 euros per ticket is taken into account when calculating per meal. IMHO: impressed object Snow Arena-as opportunity all year round skiing and snowboarding, honing his skills and just diversify Spa holiday in Druskininkai.
