Liechtenstein Center, Vaduz

3.5
#2 of 18 in Things to do in Liechtenstein
Learn about the diversity of the sixth-smallest independent nation in the world at Liechtenstein Center, the official tourist office. Although a pretty basic site, you can use the multimedia technology and film footage to find out everything you want to know about Liechtenstein. The geographical center of the state sits just next to the center, and you can see a replica of the original "Km. 0. + 0. Km." stone, which marks the point from which all road distances were measured. Get the official stamp in your passport to prove that you have been to this tiny nation. Put Liechtenstein Center at the forefront of your travel plans using our Vaduz vacation planner.

The information centre is the hub of Vaduz. Clean, postcards and souvenirs well stacked, walls. You breathe scent of money. Just entered I came up with a great desire to buy a souvenir of my incredible journey, but unfortunately it was too expensive for my Pocket otherwise I would've swept the:(((((((((((Stage inevitable for those who loved the country. Elegant and modern wood frame glass walls at the entrance (come on, you want more???)

Downtown very clean with bars restaurants and garages ... Across the country, prices are very high ... Much more than in Switzerland.

In the capital of this State is worth a stop. In Vaduz meet many tourists walking around in a small centre. It is different than in other cities. It is worth to go to the information desk to see the available guides and a map. Support friendly and helpful. If you already get the visit among other museums, the Cathedral, the City Hall, the Parliament. In the time between sightseeing to enter one of the many outlets for local treats.

Helpful staff. There you can also find good-quality souvenirs and the famous stamp. As the stamp is given for touristic purpose only, be careful that some countries' customs might give you a hard time if you have it stamped in your travel passport as it might be considered as a passport violation. Have it stamped in an older passport or on another piece of paper instead. Not likely to happen, but it might.

Got our passports stamped for 3chf and they gave kids flags. Sadly staff was abrupt about not recommending any food places. Guess they get asked it all the time, but there are polite ways to say it.

The perfect place to get some information on this tiny country in the Alps.

At first seems like usual tourist info office but it is quite interesting to explore unique Liechtenstein souvenirs here that are based on uniqueness of this country. You can even get cool and quite nice official stamp for your passport here (fee is 3 CHF/EUR).

Probably worth stopping by if you're somewhere very close and have time to spare.
