  • Such a beautiful waterfall. I went abseiling and it was absolutely stunning. You even get wet at the end! We had the place all to ourselves.  more »
  • Spending the night at the end of June Semonkong lodge, we warmly covered and equipped to get to the falls at a time when some tourists - most horse - returned. Thanks to the indications given to us, it's without assistance that we are committed across the Hill, through fields and pastures, describing a big circle to get away of the falls and to better cope. In a hamlet on the way, we stumbled upon a horse race where young and talented riders in traditional dress clashed across the fields. We were able to discuss with a lot of warmth and humanity with Aboriginal people wrapped in their blankets and their good English speaking so characteristic hats covered and share the roibos our thermos. Privileged moment of sharing what we are not about to forget. Two accompanied us to the best balcony facing the gorgeous falls (200 m high), partly icy even if drought had reduced their flow. The river flowing peacefully on the plateau at the foot of the village suddenly goes into a huge canyon. In complete peace and isolation, we have followed the Sun to bed. And it's in the dark and through our front and our good sense of orientation that we came back to our House, her eyes full of stars. A great moment of nature and authenticity. Count 45 minutes each way from Semonkong. We recommend that you put on and dress you and carry a headlamp or a torch if you go a little late. Night falls quickly. Also take something to drink, nothing is planned for the mass tourists. Attention with young children, the point of view of the falls is at the top of high cliffs.

  • Epic time out in mother natures backyard. One of those bucket list experiences that you just have to cross off your list
  • The sight is everything. One of those many wonders you need to see for yourself.
  • The braai feast was great though it was very dusty on the days of the event by it was great
  • Beautiful place. Difficult to find though. Fill up in Maseru first because there was no petrol from Semonkong to Mazenod
  • Beautiful scenery still in it's natural form. The atmosphere is so calming and good for meditation and reflecting on life.
