Walk through the remains of a 13th-century structure at Crusaders Sea Castle, situated on a small island and linked to the mainland by a stone causeway. Erected by the Crusaders and destroyed by Mamluks, the structure was renovated in the 17th century, only to be further destroyed by subsequent local conflicts. Today, the structure consists of two towers connected by a stone wall. Use our Sidon holiday planner to arrange your visit to Crusaders Sea Castle and other attractions in Sidon.

  • Fortress is situated on a small island less than 100 meters (perhaps 80) from the shoreline; connected to land is made up of two parts not far from each other. The best preserved one, with a lounge and a small dome and the chance to climb on the roof. And once you can see part of the city and the port. The other hand, worst maintained, was built in two stages. In the waters around the Castle-fortress you can see archaeological remains. The visit is short, but still is justified for those wishing to explore this part of Lebanon.
