Mount Hermon (Arabic: جبل الشيخ or جبل حرمون‎ / ALA-LC: Jabal al-Shaykh ("Mountain of the Sheikh") or Jabal Haramun; Hebrew: הַר חֶרְמוֹן‎, Har Hermon) is a mountain cluster constituting the southern end of the Anti-Lebanon mountain range. Its summit straddles the border between Syria and Lebanon and, at 2,814 m (9,232 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in Syria. On the top, in the United Nations buffer zone between Syrian and Israeli-occupied territories, is the highest permanently manned UN position in the world, known as "Hermon Hotel", located at 2814 metres altitude. The southern slopes of Mount Hermon extend to the Israeli-occupied portion of the Golan Heights, where the Mount Hermon ski resort is located with a top elevation of 2,040 metres (6,690 ft). A peak in this area rising to 2,236 m (7,336 ft) is the highest elevation in Israeli-controlled territory.

  • The one and only ski resort in Israel. It is a small resort, but The Hermon has everything you may need to spend a fantastic day on the slopes. The ski resort only opens when there is enough snow, so that means you can only enjoy this beautiful place a few weeks of the year. Before traveling there, always check the reports on their website (in Hebrew and English). There is also an area and lift for visitors who don't ski/snowboard. The resort is also opened outside the ski season and there are cool of activities like mountain sledding. Everyone can enjoy this beautiful mountain in Israel at anytime of the year!
  • Very much underrated it's good fun for one day ski the runs are decent it on the expensive side like 450 shekel but I recommend if you can't go skiing in Europe it definitely give you a good 🎿 taste downside is that the lifts are very slow
  • Small and family friendly The coffee places are too simple but I guess will do. The extreme slide ride was incredible!!! Highly recommended :) Didn't ski this time as I was with a baby so I have only the lower part to experience. You should arrive early as around 11am the place gets packed with people and it becomes less fun
  • Wonderful and interesting place.. fantastic place to walk with snow around you.. live the adventure in this place with your friend.. dont forget to bring some food, water and surly your music box then you will be like you are free from everything confusing you..
  • Very efficiently organized, plenty activities for non skiers and specially for children. Shuttle service from distant parking lot. Good memories of a lovely, sunny day.
