Where to stay in Beirut

The capital city, Beirut offers a great variety of accommodations across its many lively districts. Downtown possesses a good number of hotels and hostels, close to the main sightseeing spots, and rich in shops and services. Hamra district has a similarly large number of places to stay, with hotels located along the main stylish boulevards, and hostels and guesthouses to be found on the connecting side streets. Ain El Mraiseh district offers a good alternative for those wanting to get a room overlooking the Mediterranean coast.

  • Lovely place to walk. Often seems to be something going on. The Grand Mesh Mosh Hotel is worth dropping into.  more »
  • This is kind of a urban legend, with the stairs of Gemmayze witnessing so much history in Beirut, from the war to the art and the festivals, make sure to pass by it...  more »
