Beirut Souks is known for shopping, dining, and mixed-media entertainment, but also take time to explore the contemporary architecture and urban design in this central commercial district. Rebuilt in the early 1990s, in the same place that major souks had operated before their destruction in the Lebanese civil war, the region contains vast vaulted arcades and interconnected alleys and courtyards, with a respectful eye to conserving archaeological findings and surviving historical architecture. The souks are filled with international luxury brands and fashion boutiques, cafes and restaurants, a movie theater, and a children's science museum. • This place was a big part of my childhood. We used to go everyday to the center of Beirut in order to play rollers and then go to one of the numerous restaurants. Now , due to the crisis no a SINGLE store is open there. The only nice thing you can see is the architecture and that’s it. So if you’re planning to go on a walk in Beirut you should definitely go to that place ,but other than that it’s a ghost town filled with corruption.
  • ..good scenery, ancient historic points, nice shops and restaurants in the heart of downtown Beirut. You should visit this place.
  • plenty of expensive restaurants. joyful cinema. available parking. nice atmosphere.
  • It’s always closed few shops only opened We took photos with i love Beirut only 😅
  • Empty but beautiful place
