(4.5/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Visit the World Heritage Site of Qadisha (Kadisha) Valley to marvel at spectacular scenery carved by the Kadisha River. Due to its inaccessibility, the valley has offered sanctuary to Christian monastic communities for hundreds of years. As you explore the area, you will come across some of Lebanon's earliest cave churches and monasteries. Follow paths through terraced fields, brimming with olive and fruit trees, and pass by picturesque stone houses. Using our international travel planner, Bcharre attractions like Qadisha (Kadisha) Valley can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Unique landscapes, a fairly easy walking course, monasteries and caves where still live hermits who came voluntarily express their faith. Original, relaxing, and the people are very friendly.

  • For all travel to Lebanon is one of the brightest impressions! Definitely worth a go overnight. We left one day to trekking in the Valley, the other day we went to the Lebanese kedram. Also on this day, we were going to go into the cave, but closed it in caretaker 2:00 before only because it was cold there (although he had no right to do so, because it is not a private Cave). As a result, the cave we don't hit.
