Cave
One of the oldest tourist attractions in Latvia, Gutmanis Cave, dates back to the 17th century and features inscriptions carved into the walls. The 10 m (33 ft) high and 12 m (39 ft) wide geological formation is reputed to be the tallest and widest grotto in the Baltics. Take a guided tour of the cave to see the inscriptions that were once ordered by rich citizens and later engraved by tourists, many depicting tales of love and death. • Not very deep cave and not very exciting. Tons of German tourists in the area. Only interesting thing was some of the heralds carved in the rock from many years ago. Not a must see.  more »

  • Very tiny cave, where you won't spend more than 5 minutes. It's ok, as a starting point to Turaida Castle. Around you can find WC, and a small market to buy souvenirs.
  • Who would have guessed that 16th century could be so interesting?
  • This "cave" is a joke really, just look at the photos. Totally unspectacular. Don't worth changing your route for it.
  • You can drink the water from here as it is a rainwater filtered by meters and meters of "sand-rock". Looks more impressive at night if you use flashlight
  • Nice "cave " biggest around , worth to see , 1,5€ for parking
