With almost half of its territory covered in dense forest, Gauja National Park features a landscape dominated by the Gauja River and a range of historical monuments. Spread over 91,745 hectares (226,707 acres), the park was established to protect the environment and provide a nature retreat.   • Staying only to seeing the new castle of Sigulda go to the cave of Gutmana or the Turaida Castle and not entering the Woods and participate in the activities that have been created in the Gauja Valley, is a mistake, but time defines everything and I think that this area can be a very interesting place to discover in several days.

  • It's a beautiful view. The people that work there are very prepar to help if you need more information . The price it's cheap if you think in all the wonderful things that you can see there.

  • Beautiful, huge national forest Park. Roads can ne à bit tricky so some careful planning needed.

  • A great place to spend a day. Hire a mountain bike and explore the park. The signposts are very clear. The park also has hiking trails. An absolute bliss for nature lovers and adventure seekers. There are regular buses and trains from Riga, its about an hour from Riga.
