  • This place is just intended for amateurs and connoisseurs of Northern nature. White dune rises above the Baltic beach at saulkrasti. One can climb the wooden stairs. With dunes are obtained very good snapshots with a view of the beach and surrounded by pine trees. Unlike the more well-publicized Jurmala, the place is quiet and lonely. True, saulkrasti from Riga is farther than Jurmala.

  • Pro White Dune, we learned from the Internet, viewing the movie. After seeing this wonderful place, we will not hesitate to have included it in our travels. And have not regretted! The side of the road there is a signpost and parking with parkomatom. From the parking lot, past the lip Catarina, you descend to the sea. A small river connects with the sea ... A quiet and peaceful place, Egret, who wishes us to pose. A beautiful corner of the Baltic Sea! And in saulkrasti has good info center where you answer questions. And again, we hit on a music festival, where they heard how sounds Coclé.

  • The hike in the pine forest and partly on the beach was one of the most beautiful experiences in Latvia. The sound of the sea, a nearly empty Beach in September and totally in the natural go - that the approx. 4 km long route from Saulkrasti (excellent Observatory) offered to the white dune. The forest trails were wonderfully to commit, to listen to the birdsong and then barefoot walking in the sand. It is recommended by the white to go dune to the Pabazi station.
