At St. Mary's Dome Cathedral, see the famous Dome organ--the largest organ in the world at the time of its construction in the late 19th century. Bishop Albert of Riga built the church in the 13th century as archbishop's seat. The rooster on the top of the Baroque clock tower is a guardian of the Christian faith. The largest medieval church in the Baltic states, its appearance has changed many times. Walk around the cloisters to see the original foundations. The church also serves as a concert hall and showcases internationally renowned choirs. • The Interior of the Cathedral is sober. The famous organ is currently under renovation. It is interesting that the Church in the soft ground has settled down in about 800 years over several meters, which explains the dragging anchor, support brackets, etc..

  • I advise you to go inside the Sunday morning. There will be mass. Anyway I got. The Cathedral itself is cute, but without the frills. Near the square, which is a Christmas fair. The best winter in Riga
