  • For charity is beautiful especially inside ... too bad you can't take photos and pity the person who will pawn all the time is not exactly the most friendly and approachable in the world we say!! Visiting the Council despite not being quite economical entry compared to other attractions in the city!

  • Beautiful synagogue, very well maintained. Unfortunately the visit was short because they were preparing for shabbat. To see.

  • Many times walked past on the street Pejtavas and just recently learned that there is a synagogue, with acting. House 6/8 nothing particularly stands out is similar to neighboring buildings. Just watching it from a certain point and smarter head upwards, I failed to notice signs in Hebrew and stars. Entrance inside find not very simply, it is the side yard, behind a fence. It is the only surviving synagogue in Riga, all others burnt in the year 1941. Arson this synagogue too was planned, but the fire would inevitably destroyed, and nearby buildings, including reformed church on the street Mārstaļu. After all, in this part Called the narrow streets, houses like stick to each other. So building prayer houses left alone (which is not to say about membership directories), and it is preserved to our days.
