At Old City Riga (Vecriga), see its famous old churches and cathedrals, such as Riga Cathedral and St. Peter's church. Pick up a city map from the tourist information center, and stroll the narrow cobblestone streets much like 19th-century Latvians did. Note the distinctions among German, Russian, Italian, and Dutch architecture, and keep an eye out for the House of Blackheads and the Swedish Gate along the remains of the ancient city walls. On a guided tour, you can learn more about this town that has been the economic, financial, and cultural center of Baltic region since the 13th century. Don't forget to sample some of the traditional Latvian fare at one of the many restaurants. • What about the old town of Riga. a sight for sore eyes! Very medieval, you get lost among the various streets in the city centre and it is also nice to get lost to find unusual glimpses and details!! Give yourself some time to turn this part of the city carefully! You'll love just after her and line be smart!!
