  • In Latvia under occupation ruling class (but not all Latvians!) refers to the period from 1940 to 1991, when Latvia was engineering which produced vans (the famous RAF, which brought patients in most urban hospitals of the USSR), diesel locomotives. Was electronics (WEF) radio transceivers were most Soviet families had a great chemistry. Was pharmaceuticals. This was all. Think it's in the Museum? Now, chemistry-2.5% of the total reduced sharply release industry all over Latvia. Pharmaceuticals-the same percentage. Did European giants Bayer and Novartis will survive pharmaceutics in Latvia? Raph and WEF pochili Bose. In the first place-food industry (except sprat you and not think about the present Latvia). And woodworking. The most technologically advanced industries in the world, there's no denying. The economy of African countries. Where is the economy. And with whom in Latvia to create industry? A huge part of the young people travelled in Europe, mostly in Britain, from where they are now being asked to return to Riga. Remember the slogan of the 25-year-old: "the suitcase station, Russia"? And now, Riga. The irony of history. And from left-Latvian poll-only 8% are going to come back. Closed 30% of schools. Think of something that is in the Museum of occupation? Nothing of the sort. Industry in the USSR is interpreted only in the context of environmental impact ...

  • The main building is closed for renovation, cannot wait for it to be reopened. Interesting for anyone who digs history!
  • The main entrance was locked when we arrived around 4pm. Disappointed! We decided to give it a miss and crossed over to the other side of the Daugava River.
  • Free entry. Decent size. Mostly factual. Slight propaganda. The fact that it makes some Russian visitors as angry as to give 1 star to this museum is intriguing.
  • So fun to see angry and exclaiming russians there, they really think, that when you say "Soviet Union", you mean russians))))
  • Great modern history lesson about the people of Lativa ... Helps you understand the what these people (past generation) went through prior to independence ... A ""MUST SEE"" MUSEUM FOR ALL VISTIORS TO RIGA ...
