  • A diving concrete life of Latvians in the past centuries. Natural space put in scene in a very realistic way with many extras in costumes of times... and a lot of blueberries to eat as wood summer!

  • Absolutely amazing project of getting some even 300 years old log houses from the place they'd perish to here and displaying for all to see. Also has awesome blacksmiths hut where I've been shown ropes on how to use hammer, iron and fire. Very authentic and awesome place to visit, especially when the crafts market takes place
  • A good idea to learn about Latvia, if you are interested. You can see how these people lived, and gathered to reach today's modern life.
  • Nice open air museum. Plan to spend minimum 2-3 hours there. Good restoran available serving national food.
  • Good place to see real ethnography, original buildins of 15th century, great nature!
  • Rude staff and we almost didn't get in because card machine wasn't working at the entrance, but we had already payed for parking. Good for long walks, it takes about ~3h to see almost every old house.
