Latvian Academy of Sciences - Panorama Deck, Riga
(4.1/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Housed in a typical Stalinist-style building, Latvian Academy of Sciences - Panorama Deck unites the country's greatest and most well-known scientists. As you approach the 108 m (354 ft) edifice, look for Latvian folk motifs and hammer-and-sickle communist symbols engraved upon it. Enter to see the building's dark, dated interior and climb to the 17th-floor balcony, the main attraction for visitors with its wide views of the city. Grab a booklet from the ticket office to learn more about the building's facts and history. Use our Riga vacation route planner to arrange your visit to Latvian Academy of Sciences - Panorama Deck and other attractions in Riga.

  • Can you tell me what you want but to me this building like it! I was a few months ago in Warsaw is there is one absolutely equal. in fact even higher truth be told! I like it because I am fascinated by its grandeur. Unfortunately in this case I couldn't stand to see the city from above because the weather was quite cloudy and not deserved stand, but I highly doubt the climb!!

  • An impressive building located near the market halls. Should originally go to the kolkhoz farmers and will be inaugurated on Stalin's birthday. Because he died before everything changed. Now, the Academy of Sciences is housed here. In thick snow, the observation deck was unfortunately locked.
