In 1995 the Latvian-born Reverend Dr Juris Calitis became the pastor of a growing congregation. A day centre for the elderly runs in the undercroft, and the church operates a soup kitchen for homeless people and a centre for abused and neglected children.Historical records are held in London Metropolitan Archives.Sources Website of the Anglican Church in Riga

  • The Church was built from 1860 to bricks, strictly from the English clay. In the Church, now often held services for gay pastor, which is openly gay himself.

  • This Anglican church is located on the north of Riga old town and it is close to Riga castle and Daugava River banks.
  • Small Neo-Gothic church built in 1857 situated close to the river. Anglikanu iela 2a. Not worth a special visit.
