Art Museum RIGA BOURSE, Riga
(3.8/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Combining the art of East and West--classical and contemporary--Art Museum RIGA BOURSE attempts to demonstrate that excellence wins out over origin. Located in a 19th-century Venetian Renaissance-style building, the museum hosts four galleries on six floors. Walk through rooms filled with Western European paintings, porcelain, and sculptures from the 16th to 20th centuries. Masks, clothes, and precious ornaments reveal the culture of the Middle East and the Far East. Look for Dmitry Gutov's Gondola--a three-dimensional airborne explosion of a real 11 m (36 ft) gondola, which seems to have been frozen in time. • Although Riga's famous for its Art Nouveau, this 19 cent edifice is an outstanding example of Venetian Renaissance. It's located opposite the biggest Dom Church on the Dom Sq, right in the very center...  more »
  • A beautiful building, located in the spectacular Dome Square, where are several other historical attractions not to be missed.

  • Inside is cute, but on the upper floors. Masski of different tribes and so on. I was there 3 years ago. Inside is nothing but depends on the subject matter, each time a new theme and the main hall is becoming different. But nothing to lose if you don't visit =)
