Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Combining the art of East and West--classical and contemporary--Art Museum RIGA BOURSE attempts to demonstrate that excellence wins out over origin. Located in a 19th-century Venetian Renaissance-style building, the museum hosts four galleries on six floors. Walk through rooms filled with Western European paintings, porcelain, and sculptures from the 16th to 20th centuries. Masks, clothes, and precious ornaments reveal the culture of the Middle East and the Far East. Look for Dmitry Gutov's Gondola--a three-dimensional airborne explosion of a real 11 m (36 ft) gondola, which seems to have been frozen in time.
