  • We took a guided tour there and can highly recommend that. Museum is unique and definetelly worth a visit. A local guide made our experience even more enjoyable.

  • Great learning experience of Mark Rothko's biography. Information is provided in varios formats - captions, videos, video projections. There are reproductions as well as original paintings in the museum. The second floor is dedicated to modern art and collection there is being changed often. This is a must-see place in Daugavpils.
  • Go in small group and take one of fantastic tour guides. Whole story makes me love art again. Feels like entrance should cost as twice as much, than actually are.
  • Highly recommended if visiting Daugavpils. Exhibitions of works of Mark Rothko and also Latvian artists.
  • Beautiful building. Lots of exhibition space. Located in the fortress, which is something to see.
  • Neatly organized gallery, lots of information and events.
