  • Running for over 50 km from Riga, you get to Bauska and from there continue on to Rundale to admire this beautiful 18th-century palace, a Baroque masterpiece. It was built at the behest of the Duke of Courland and the project was entrusted to the Italian architect Rastrelli. The Palace, beautiful and well maintained, is considered the most beautiful of the Baltic Sea. It consists of 130 rooms, of which only about thirty visited and photographed for a small fee. The entrance to the gardens, well kept and payment is obviously worthy of pictures. The tour is approximately 3 hours for the interiors and some time to relax in the gardens

  • I can't say better than my predecessors! Don't miss: the restaurant on the ground floor, very chic and fitted out with great taste... pity that the menu is not displayed on the outside and at the entrance because I believe that a lot of visitors are back impressed with the décor, fearing that prices were prohibitive. This is absolutely not the case. The excellent quality of the dishes and the service justifies the very affordable rate however.

  • You should go here if you are in Latvia. The nearby castle of Bauska is also a choice but before coming here. The Palace has really interesting displays inside. Feels like a "mini" louvre focusing on Latvian history. The garden is perfect though visited this at the end of Autumn so flowers were not in full bloom anymore. Still captured some artistic shots of the Palace.
  • Beautiful palace, worth the visit. A bit expensive for the Latvian cost of living standards. Try to go around May when the gardens are at bloom, otherwise it is not that spectacular.
  • A unique place to visit on a beautiful summer day. Large park is part of the sight. Free parking. Signs missing from parking lot to the palace though. Additional parking available at a restaurant's parking lot, altough again signs missing.
  • One of the best palaces we visited during our tour through the Baltics. Recommended and that's a;so the case for their friendly coffee shop in the basement.
  • Perfectly renovated top 1 castle in Latvia. A must see place when visiting Zemgale
