Vientiane Night Market, Vientiane
(1.7/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Test your bargaining skills at Vientiane Night Market, which emerges every evening on the riverbank. As the sun sets, vendors start putting up their signature red tents on the promenade. Most of the goods--clothes, footwear, accessories for cellphones, and handbags--seem to cater to locals, but you can also find statues and paintings of Buddha, bottles of spirits preserving snakes and scorpions, and hand-crafted items clearly meant for tourists. The only thing you can’t buy from the stalls is food, but if you're feeling peckish, you can always check out the restaurants across the street. Our Vientiane trip itinerary planner makes visiting Vientiane Night Market and other Vientiane attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
