Tham Nam (Water cave), Vang Vieng

Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.7/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Drag yourself by a rope while floating in a tube and exploring Tham Nam (Water cave). The 500 m (1,640 ft) long ride winds through dark corners and pristine refreshing waters, with only the light of your headlamp illuminating the narrow passages. Although the conditions are completely safe and the fixed ropes ensure you don’t wander off, you can hire a guide to assist you and give you some background information about the cave. Finish your adventure with a meal in the nearby restaurant. Keep in mind that the tube floating experience is possible only during the wet season, while in the dry season visitors explore the cave by foot. Put Tham Nam (Water cave) into our Vang Vieng tour planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • I go to the water in the cave, sometimes it took a quiet street and there it's pretty rough and you have to walk a few kilometers. But it is well worth your trip it is great fun and will do here, and you don't need to worry. If you can't go swimming because you have float life jackets and a shallow water up to your knees hahaha.

  • We rented a bike to go on our own to enter must pay 5mil kip for parking the motorbike and 10mil by crossing the bridge. To the cuava of the elephant you must pay 10mil per person and it is a space of 2 x 2, where do you see anything more than a budda and the dial "elephant" on the wall. (In my opinion not enter), 20 min walk in mud roads and arrive at the water cave that is no longer so bad the experience into a tiny space between the Wild River is fun.
