Tham Chang Cave, Vang Vieng

(2.8/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Explore halls and narrow corridors of Tham Chang Cave, which provided a refuge for the inhabitants of a neighboring village during the wars of the 19th century. To get to the entrance of the cave, you need to cross a river on a wooden bridge and climb a hill overgrown with lush vegetation. Once in the cave, follow the well-lit pathways secured by wooden railings. From the entrance, you can see the surrounding fields, the river, and the village--the spot remains ideal for snapping a few memorable photos. Put Tham Chang Cave into our Vang Vieng vacation generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Intense climbing from above beautiful views of Vang Vieng. Cave to commit, no torch needed even without problems! Cave consists of 2 courses, one leads to a lookout, the others deeper into the mountain family (and probably even further in the future) because the way is just expanded
