A mountaintop temple offers images of Buddhist religion and views of the city, at Wat Phol Phao. This forest meditation retreat offers peaceful surroundings with panoramic views. Built in an octagonal style, the Buddhist temple features interior paintings depicting Buddhist stories. See stone carvings, murals, and statues painted in gold. Because the site is situated uphill, rent a motorbike or a bicycle to avoid a long hike. If you drive, take time to stop at some spots to take in the views and landscape.
