We found one morning, this parallel streets where they could quietly attend the procession of monks. This temple is only open to office hours, but what a beauty to discover shiny in the pale light of dawn. A wonder of serenity and beautyView original -

This temple is located between the Mekong River and the main street. Access is free but the main temple is open only in the morning for the ceremony of alms and the evening from 5.30 pm for prayer. But it's worth it because it's really intimate only a few local followers and it is the only temple with a statue of a monk in wax (I think).View original -
Luang Prabang... more »
From looking at the morning Alms Giving Ceremony, visited the Wat Nong Sikhounmuang. There were many young monks. It was a time when I visited the Wat Nong Sikhonmang monks are eating breakfast. By the way, Wat Nong Sikhounmuang, fewer tourists and was very quiet. And I felt very rustic temple. If you want to explore the common temples in Luang Prabang we recommend.View original

原本寺廟被摧毀了,這是後來鋼筋水泥重建的建築。參觀不用收費,禮拜六造訪,完全沒有遊客及參拜人潮。

Wat Nong Sikhounmuang (means pond pagoda) built for the first time in 1729 in the style of Xieng Khouang. But the Vat was destroyed by the fire of the town in 1774. Rebuilt in 1804, it was damaged by time and weather. Finally the temple was completely rebuilt in 1965 in concrete in the Thai style. This temple houses one of the largest pagodas in Luang Phabang. The pagoda is richly decorated with stencils. A style inspired by that of Vientiane, the temple has one of the prettiest roofs in the blazing colors of thai style.
