Wat Manorom is a major Buddhist temple and monastery in Luang Prabang, Laos.

There are several theories as to the date of its founding; it may have been founded in 1372 or 1375 by Samsenthai, but it may also date from the reign of Laasaenthai Bouvanaat around 1492. The great bronze Buddha, 6 meters high, in the nave dates from the 1370s.

  • This temple has been here since Columbus sailed the ocean blue. It's worth the visit, but good luck getting good pics with all the power lines.

  • This temple is located slightly out of the centre of Luang Prabang. I combined it with a visit to the UXO Museum which made it worthwhile. Probably can be missed if you're already sick of temples...

  • Good place visiting
  • Most beautiful Wat I visited in Luang Prabang. I visited near sunset and was treated to gorgeous light reflecting off the well maintained golden details of the wat. A little off the tourist path, so you will have the chance to explore it without company.
  • Beautiful 😊

  • Is so amazing temple i love it .so so beautiful and relax i like this place
