Tad Thong Waterfall, Luang Prabang
(3.9/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Time your visit to the jungle accordingly to visit Tad Thong Waterfall, the disappearing waterfalls. This series of small waterfalls only appears in the rainy season, which lasts from July to January. The route starts from a restaurant, and people generally complete a full circle back to it in about an hour. YOu can also swim in the waterfall pools. Take a picture of the map at the entrance to know where to go, and wear good hiking shoes, since the path is uneven in certain places. • The tour includes a walk (light) in a wonderful, gigantic trees Woods, along a beautiful waterfall, which unfolds on several levels, with very clear water and limestone formations similar to those of Pamukalle, in Turkey. There are changing rooms, rustic to change clothes and is allowed to enter in the natural pools formed by the cascade in several stretches. There are also banks of picnic tables in some stretches. At the highest level, has a stunning view of the biggest waterfall, where there is a bridge that allows wonderful pictures. During the journey, one can see an area where there are several black bears (nice to see them soon after the feeding schedule). There are several sculptures also demonstrating all kinds of bears in the world and where they are found.

  • lovely setting only ruined by endless visitors splashing around in the water. I'd go early to avoid the rush or just being your swimsuit and join them!
  • very beautiful place, where you can relax and enjoy the birdsong and gurgling waterfall, lush, very many birds, roam through the Park met even the bride and groom who were doing the photo shoot, are back again
