Palazzo Reale, Luang Prabang
(3.9/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web)
Take a glimpse in the history of royal families at Palazzo Reale, and witness artistic gold motifs. When you enter, you'll see paintings of Laotian monarchs and murals on the wall showing the lifestyle of past times. A statue of Buddha, made in gold, bronze, and silver, draws attention. Continue to secretariat room, where the museum exhibits gifts the royal family received, or visit the throne room, which boasts some valuable royal possessions and Buddha images. Be aware that you cannot take photos inside the residence. Also, dress appropriately (for instance, women cannot enter if wearing a short skirt). • Very beautiful Palace, remembered above all gilded façade, which cut many different small patterns, also remembered a huge lamp chandelier gold with lots of candles, delightfully

  • Definitely nice to see, but take a photo and it ended there. I must say that Laos architecturally doesn't have much to offer. Leverage your time in naturalistic excursions.

  • It is a nice and quiet temple, but perhaps there is some lack of life. The rest of the monastic complexes are full of life, monks praying, washing, sweeping... and that gives them a unique air, however this temple is a place like most of Southeast Asia to take two photos and continue your way.
