Nam Khan River Bridge (Bamboo), Luang Prabang

(550+ reviews on the web)
Bridge Landmark
Cross the Nam Khan River on rickety Nam Khan River Bridge (Bamboo), which often gets washed away by the rising water during the rainy season. The small fee you'll pay to cross helps a local family rebuild this structure each year. The open-air restaurant on the other side serves delicious local dishes, such as eggplant dip with a mix of black and white rice. Sit on floor cushions with your meal and watch as other travelers and Buddhist monks brave the wobbly bridge. Our Luang Prabang trip generator makes visiting Nam Khan River Bridge (Bamboo) and other Luang Prabang attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
