  • A very good market, lots of stalls and plenty of different items to buy. Most looks quite good quality and a bit more authentic than some other markets we'd been to!  more »
  • One of the markets of Asia, and especially the people are very friendly and let us do our shopping

  • Huge market to wander through at night! You can find some great things here especially if you want to bring some things home for your friends (awesome deals for little kip). On either side there are tons of smoothie and crepe stands! Not to mention the buffets, coconut pancakes and fruit at either end.
  • Super cool night market. Start with a trip to the buffet (a plate to fill as high as you can for some ridiculously small amount of kip), then wander down the street and enjoy the colour, the smell, and the sound.
  • The night market stretches a long way between the royal palace and the roundabout near the Lao Ethnic Museum. Stall by stall, there are mainly textiles to chose from but it also offers crafts and importantly - great local food at local prices (including local specialties like dried seaweed or beef lungs...).
  • Best market in Laos. You can buy everything at reasonable prices, just remember to bargain and bargain hard. Most of my souvenirs were bought there last time so as this time. The massage house by the market on the side of the hill is decent, worth to visit after the whole day of trekking. Must visit for every tourist staying at Luang Prabang.
  • I loved the night market! Don't be afraid to bargain & make sure to try some coconut pancakes!
