The Gibbon Experience, Huay Xai
(4.2/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Explore a mountainous terrain and its indigenous animal life at The Gibbon Experience, known for sheltering the black-cheeked gibbon. In addition to the endangered primate, the reserve's 1,230 sq km (475 sq mi) protect elephants, bears, tigers, and wild water buffalos, among other species. Visit the canopy huts to examine roaming animals from a safe distance, and experience the splendor of the rainforests on a three-hour trek towards a charming waterfall and freshwater pool. Note that the hike requires a reasonable level of fitness; always carry extra water with you. Make The Gibbon Experience a part of your Huay Xai vacation plans using our Huay Xai trip builder.
