Tat Somphamit Waterfalls, Don Khone
(4.6/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
See the rapid flow of Tat Somphamit Waterfalls, a cascade that according to local belief traps the evil spirits of both deceased people and animals. Rocky cliffs surround the waterfall, creating a dramatic natural scene. Walk along the edge of the cliffs to admire the rush of water and enjoy the views, keeping an eye out for water wheels used for generating power as you go. After your stroll, rest at a bungalow, grab a bite at a restaurant, or enjoy something lighter from one of the snack stands. Our Don Khone vacation planner makes visiting Tat Somphamit Waterfalls and other Don Khone attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • It's the most amazing part and surprising the Mekong, although the falls are not of exceptional height, the force of the waves that break against the rocks, is nevertheless impressive.

  • These falls of the Mekong are impressive, both on their dimensions as their powers. Place essential and impassable by boat, we understand better than under the French protectorate, there was the construction of a railway of 14 kilometers to divert and transport boats

  • If you're on the 4000 islands you should visit the waterfall. We were shortly after the rainy season there. Before you can see the waterfall, you can hear him already. It is impressive what water mass there come down. The nature there is very nice. A restaurant is also on-site.
