Examine timeless stone drawings at Museum of Petroglyphs, a huge stone field with thousands of boulders on the northern shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. This stone garden covers 42 hectares (104 acres) and features some 2,000 petroglyphs dating from 800 CE to 1200 BCE. Motifs of sacrifice, hunting scenes, wars, animals, and examples of everyday chores can be seen depicted on stones ranging from 30 cm (11 in) to 3 m (9 ft) in size. Take time to explore the lichen-covered carved stone warriors, tombs, and stone circles. English-speaking guides are available on site.   • Hill went to the mountain about 2 km from Cholpon Ata, Central. Grounds and purring and rolling rock, carved by ancient people on the surface of the rock paintings can be seen. Make sure there showed a suggested tour routes at the entrance to a simple map (also English). Picture is often seen quite clearly one the goat mainly increasingly rich varieties, such as camels, hunting of the Sun God. Other placed in Round Rock (where rituals? ) And include rock walls, burial. View of the Issyk Kul Lake views from here are GOOD.

Where to stay in Cholpon Ata

A seasoned tourist destination, Cholpon Ata has a good set of accommodations, ranging from luxury resorts to humble hostels. The swankiest establishments lie on private beaches outside of town. You'll find a particularly representative cluster in Bosteri, about 10 km (6.2 mi) to the east. In Cholpon Ata proper, several budget lodgings sit on or near the main Sovetskaya Street that runs parallel to the lakeshore--choose from hostels, guesthouses, and hotels. Several mid-range and higher-end hotels put you right on the water, some with private beaches. For more privacy, look for rental villas and apartments.
