  • One of the best souks to visit it Kuwait. It is a good place to buy perfumes, spices, pickles, fresh produce and some very good bargains on clothes and confectionery items. The food courts are very good for Arabic/Lebanese cuisine at pocket-friendly prices. Old souk, as it is popularly called is located in the Kuwait city area close to Kuwait Towers. Well accessible by public transport. The bazaar is styled on the Moroccan bazaars with tiny stalls along endless galleries. Very colourful and lively place to be. Also popular are Sheesha joints that serve Hookah and Arabic coffee and dates. Must buy pickled olives, sweets and textiles here. Good scope for haggling.
  • Great place to get a small idea of the old souq in Kuwait city. In fact this is exactly the same place it was located but is now modernised after some serious renovation work. There are separate fish, meat, vegetable and fruit markets available for your fresh food requirements and a lot of antique sellers and stores where you can grab a bargain for various day to day items. A lot of money exchanges are located here but beware of some who may try to pull a fast one on unsuspecting customers given the opportunity. There is also a play area for the kids around the area with a plethora of restaurants to choose from for grilled foods and sheesha. Great place to hang out on a cool evening with the family.
  • The best place to visit, tons of shops and with the addition of the SoMu (South Mubarakiya) trendy cafe area it's definitely a place to spend the day. The winter months is the best time to visit.
  • Its one of the greatest markets in Kuwait, which takes you many years ago. It has everything such as fish market, restaurants, and clothes stores. I really recommend this place.
  • Traditional Souq area.Lots of restaurants.Alot of food ,moderate prices....parking is a problem I love it.Old Kuwait.
