Kuwait Towers, Kuwait City

3.8
The city's signature landmark and the nation's most recognizable symbols, Kuwait Towers offer 360-degree views of the city and the Gulf. The three towers--with characteristic blue-green spheres covered with more than 41,000 enameled discs--were constructed during the 1970s. Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed chose the design, which resembles a tiled dome of a mosque. The highest tower rises 187 m (614 ft) above the ground, featuring observation decks on two levels, plus a revolving restaurant and a cafe. In March 2016, the towers opened to the public after a major four-year refurbishment process. • When you go there, keep in mind what year this was built. And how they survived the invasion. These towers symbolized (and still do) Kuwaiti power of will. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are Kuwaiti or not. Also, the restaurant is great because it’s international.
  • It is a magnificent feeling to be under these historic landmarks of our beloved country Kuwait. May God bless this country and protect it. Lovely people very well educated, and easy going. On my recent visit I noticed a big development is taking a place in Kuwait and I loved the roads & highways networks, since it was my first time to drive in Kuwait i guess, i loved driving in Kuwait though, people are very respectful to the speed limits and traffic law.
  • Only 3kd to enter but once you're at the top you've an amazing view of the city and at night it's amazing. There is a little snack stand at the top and a few tables to have a small group setting. I havent had the pleasure of eating at the restaurants inside yet but its on my list.
  • Kuwait Towers is a group of three slender towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were officially inaugurated on 26 February 1977 and are rated as a landmark and symbol of modern Kuwait. The main tower is 187 meters high and carries two spheres. The lower sphere holds in its bottom half a water tank of 4,500 cubic meters and in its upper half a restaurant for 90 persons, a café, a lounge and a reception hall. The upper sphere which rises to 123 meters above the sea level and completes a full turn every 30 minutes. The second tower is 147 meters high and serves as a water tower. The third tower houses equipment to control the flow of electricity and illuminates the two larger towers. The towers hold 9,000 cubic meters of water altogether.
  • Historical and landmark place. Its right on the Gulf drive. There is a restaurant inside this and its a must visit. The surroundings are beautiful with good play areas and senic views. Lot of parking in place. Must vist for tourists. Cycling around this place during the winter is sought out activity
