Wasini Island, Shimoni

3.4
Island · Nature / Park
Escape the buzz of everyday life with a visit to Wasini Island, small in size but big in charm and atmosphere. The island features no roads, so pedestrians create the only traffic on rustic footpaths--occasionally, you might spot a local transporting goods on a wheelbarrow. The shortage in amenities is more than made up for in outstanding snorkeling opportunities, offered by the nearby marine park. Make your Shimoni itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.

  • Kenya is a very beautiful country! Wasini Island adds to the beauty with its rich history and dolphins experience. some great food in the area straight from the ocean and some very amazing sweet greens from the ocean!
  • A place so natural. Almost completely untouched by pollusive civilization.
  • Good experience. Needs some courage and spirit of adventure. Not for the faint-hearted
  • Awesome is understatement.. if you haven't visited here..it should be on your to do list.the only place which takes you back to em days..no electricity so you people will be forced to talk to each other after your phones die🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • Superb community projects abound on this strip of paradise. Coral gardens maintained by a women’s group, delicious sea weed and mouth watering Swahili cuisine make this a delightful day trip. If you are lucky - you’ll see dolphins on the way there too.
