  • Probably one of the most unique national parks on the world. The cliffs and the gorge are simply stunning. The walk through the gorge is an amazing experience is totally worth the time and effort. Despite the numerous number of times you do it, it never gets old. Its worth doing a quick drive around the park before you do the walk in the gorge. Some fantastic scenery.
  • What an experience. Hiking through the gorge. Wow. Be careful to hire bikes at bottom of gate close to main road. Its still very far uphill. The roads are extremely dusty. Felt so sorry for the bikers eating dust. At the gorge you pay about 2000 ksh for 2hour hike. If you can do the 3 hour hike, well worth it.
  • Good hike, we went on a sunny day, the terrain was dry, it could get dangerous in the rainy season, and is also prone to flash flooding. Bring your bike or hire one at the site for KSh. 715 for Kenyan citizens. There are also park entry charges. Good work out in a beautiful scenic place. The second smallest park in Kenya. You will also enjoy views of wild life, mostly herbivores.
  • Hell's Gate is a gem! One of my favourite national parks and easily accessible. We drove from Elsa Gate to the Gorge (about 8km), but you can also hire bikes and cycle to the gorge. From there we got a guide (2000/-) and walked (slowly) for about 2 hours. Wear sturdy shoes as it can be slippery in places.
  • Whoever called this Hell's Gate was nuts! The wonders of nature right here - the gorges, the walk on the wild, the bicycle racing, the hot geysers, the picturesque geothermal works and a rejuvenating spa fed directly by the hot springs. What a beautiful world!
