  • My family live in the Kenya and I went for the year-end holidays. .. We take advantage to climb Mount longonot, I can tell you that it is very sporty and I almost give up several times but in the end the show is amazing and well worth some effort... well Council inquire before climbing.

  • This hike will certainly test your endurance, but the views at the top are well worth it. Take plenty of water and highly recommend doing it in the morning before the heat hits as there is not much sh...  more »
  • We believed the reviews claiming that this is a normal hike. Well, we are quite well trained, but we still had some difficulties time-to-time. No matter what, go for it, because it’s an amazing hike. ...  more »

  • One of the best experience for mountain climbers. Has steep slope and once you get to the top which is about 2500m above sea level. The tough ones would dare walk round the rim which is about 7.5km.
  • Mt.Longonot makes for a great hike. Certainly not easy especially as you approach the crater rim but the views from up there are amazing. The crater itself is beautiful!it is such a beautiful place to get away, have some fun with family and friends, the activities are so great such as going round the mount and reaching to the peak summit wow so breath taking and unforgettable experience
  • The nearest and safe mountain from Nairobi to climb by yourself. The track is wide open and not too hard to climb, very good for weekend excursions.
  • Real hiking experience. Come prepared. Come appropriately dressed
  • Going up this peak is a great way to test yourself before you attempt other summits. The rocks are dusty, and the path can sometimes get narrow. But if you pace yourself and watch your step, you'll be alright. If you start climbing early enough, no later than 8 AM in my experience, which was in the cold season, you could get to the peak while there are still clouds on it. The top is an amazing chill spot. But the sign keeps falling off.
