  • It's a cool and serene place to often visit. Welcoming guides but the national museums of Kenya should support them.
  • The ruins the snakes the environment is just amazing. You should go there more often
  • Mnarani ruins are the remains of an ancient Swahili settlement of the thirteenth century, reported to have been destroyed by the Galla community in the early 17th century. Once you climb the slightly more than 100 steps, you will see remains of a large mosque, a smaller mosque, parts of the town, a gate and several tombs dating to the 13th -15th century. In addition, there are giant baobab and other trees overlooking the ocean. Some of these trees are said to be close to 800 years old. There is also a snakepark within the protected area where you can see a variety of local snakes.
  • beautiful scenary and wonderful creatures
  • The ruins were great and the surroundings are just stunning. The tickets are 500kes for non resident adults. A guide will go through the visit with you. Our guide was really nice untill we had to tip her and she wasn't happy with the tip (we gave her almos as much as the ticket price) so she made us feel uncomfortable. It would be better if they just offered an optional guide for and amount. There's also a small snake museum that I did't like, the snakes are in very small terrarium, and they didn't look well taken care of... I don't think it's necessary to have them there like that.
