Mashkhur-Jusup Mosque, Pavlodar

4.3
#1 of 14 in Things to do in Pavlodar
Mashkhur-Jusup Mosque, a large and architecturally unique building, sits within a leafy park area. The mosque features two main prayer halls, the larger of which can accommodate 1,500 worshippers at any one time. Construction of the mosque, which opened in 2012, took three years, with the complex demonstrating classic features of Islamic architecture. Take time to admire the large dome and the four towering minarets topped with glistening blue marble. As you wander around the complex, you'll find many other facilities, such as a school, library, museum, theater, and more. Mashkhur-Jusup Mosque is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Pavlodar Edition.

  • Visited the mosque in his first visit to the city, still in the 2007 year, I (Christian), now a little better understand Muslims. Beautiful modern mosque, inside which there are, in addition to the total, and the Museum exhibition, which tells the story to this day about the history of Islam in Kazakhstan and persecutions on Muslims during the Soviet period. It was really informative, as this piece of our common history usually silenced, somehow. I advise to visit necessarily only note the clothes (as in any religious Assembly, close the legs and hands of clothing).

  • The mosque named Mashhour Jusup in Pavlodar (Kazakhstan), is located in the city centre on Kairbaeva Street. The mosque is very beautiful, she is acting. Beautiful sanitized the area around the mosque. This is probably the main attraction in Pavlodar.

  • The mosque and the truth is beautiful, read a lot of reviews and went there. But not particularly impressed, expect greater luxury. In Saturday was a lot of weddings, got even on wake ️ ♀. Zavjoz Navigator to the backyard of the mosque, there and gone. The main entrance is very beautiful inside, the first floor is just a big hole paved carpet. Second floor-view of the hole, zareshetchatyj wooden partitions. A separate entrance for women, separate for men. Mandatory requirements: covered with a head (that hair was not visible), socks! closed shoulders and dress. Children too! Shorts, short skirts, you cannot. Men can not cover it. On the territory there is a mosque a couple of trays with scarves, socks, etc
